Bajrabarahi is a VDC that lies in the Northern part of the Makwanpur district. A beautiful valley surrounded by hills in all sides is rich in culture, history and its agricultural produce. Bajrabarahi is a leading supplier of cauliflower to the major markets in Nepal and is famous for its off season vegetable. It has an active small farmers cooperative who are working to introduce new produce like Kiwifruit and Pepinomelon to the nepali market.
Padampur VDC was relocated from north of Rapti River to its current location due to constant flooding. Since it is a newly established VDc it has well planned roads and land plots. Most of the farmers here are focused in commercial banana plantation because staple crops are hard to grow due to wild animals and low irrigation. The small farmer cooperative in Padampur is run by and has only female members.
Manahari lies between the Mahabharata and Churia range and its fertile soils are irrigated by East Rapti river. This has made Manahari a big producer of rice for the major markets like Hetauda and Bharatpur. The small farmers cooperative in Manahari are working on making agriculture more commercial by promoting dairy, fishing and animal produce. Manahari is also a major market for legumes and honey produced in the adjoining hilly VDC.
